He moved to Aiken in 1958 and was the founder of Aiken Industries, which was at one time the largest employer in the city of Aiken. He was a founding member of the state Needle Trades Association, later known as South Eastern Apparel Manufacturers Association. He was a former member of the Hilton Head Yacht Club and the Savannah River Power Squadron. He was a member of Adath Yeshurun Synagogue. Surviving are his wife, Millie G.
